Bellhorn to sign with the yankees.

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2146618

So there are 2 ways this could play out. He could keep being Bellhorn, or he could become a major leaguer again.

My vote? He's going Embree style.

Mike Nugent

Some times you just have to take a kicker in the 4th round.
Will the owner, who picked this kicker in the 4th round, be vindicated? Time will tell. He will have to kick ALOT for a 4th rounder.

    For the record

Courtney Cox has never looked better than she did in Leaving Las Vegas. And I am not even that big of a fan of hers.

    All Latino team

    http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20050823&content_id=1180700&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb

As a response to the fact there were not enough latin players on the MLB all century team. However there was a semi-legitimate reason for no latinos to be on the all century team. They weren't many latino ball players in the past century in MLB. Sure that has changed, and changed ALOT. Some of it might have been racism (as was the case with blacks in MLB) but mostly it was the fact that latinos had not been brought into the league yet. Thus there were not many in the league last century to enable them to be ON the team.

That said I have no more problem with it than I do with BET (which i do have an issue). I just don't like the double standard on allowing ethnic themed anything when if it was an all-white theme, it would be protested and hated.

Oh well. I still don't like St. Patricks day too. (not even jsut casue those dirty micks get hammered and puke and fight in the streets!!!)

    Curt to start tonight

The douchebag is going back to the starting lineup. fantastic. Thank god hes out of the ninth where he was horrible. 1 bad inning and the game is lost. not so much when you are the starter.

Hopefully he gets back into form.

Millar accepts loss of his everyday job

    http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2005/08/22/millar_accepts_loss_of_his_everyday_job/

Well that is nice ... since he blows. Seriously though, he should have lost that job a long time ago. He just has no bat anymore.

    Other Notes ...

Schilling is on his way back to the rotation. This is good since he sucked as a closer. Not his fault really. He jsut doesnt have his great stuff and with a closer you cant give up 3 runs in 1 inning. As a starter you have 1 bad inning you have 4+ others to shut out the team and make up for it. He should do fairly well in the rotation (I hope). He just needs to get 5+ innings of quality pitching a start. That will help the team tremendously.

Also in light of Curt heading to the rotation, it appears the sox are NOT ready to bring Hansen up ... yet. There is speculation he will be up before Aug 31 to be playoff eligible though.

Nixon is swinging the bat well in Pawtucket and is expected to come back up shortly.

What is happening with Youkilis? The kid should be in the majors. He will have a good september as he will get time at 1b and 3b for Mueller and Olerud.

Why does spaghetti break into 3 pieces?

I just can't believe that some very smart people worried about stuff like this. Apparently it has "practical" uses.

    A-Rod and Roids

I dont want to start rumors, but unfortunatly I have it on some insider info that Alex Rodriquez tested positive for steriods. He is one of the names MLB is sitting on for steriods.

This one hurts ladies and Gents. I truly thought that ARod was one guy who didnt use roids. I put him in the category of griffey jr. That is to say those of who lived with their natural talent. If A-Rod used steroids then I don't know who in this generation can be called a HOFer.

If this comes to be true (this year, I assume these test won't last to next year) then i lose faith in the sport I have always loved.

This does not mean I stop watching baseball. This simple means I no longer believe in the records I have seen happen while I have watched. It means that the older generation truly has seen better ball players than I have.
