Michael J Fox exaggerating ...
"So I will bigly, hugely admit I was wrong, and I will apologize to Michael J. Fox, if I am wrong in characterizing his behavior on this commercial as an act ... Michael J. Fox is allowing his illness to be exploited and in the process is shilling for a Democratic politician"
--Rush Limbaugh
Ok, I agree with him yet again ... He made a good point with Donovan (I totally agree with him being overrated) but I saw that commercial and he shakes more than he does in Scrubs and other events He is in ... I love Scubs ... but

He was a great man who was able to put together a basketball dynasty and also a basketball fmaily. The man knew people. That was more than just basketball. He made the most out of people and also knew what was the most out of people.
He was Red Auerbach.

The list, published on Tuesday, said grunge rocker Cobain earned $50 million between October 2005 and October 2006. Presley wound up in the No. 2 slot with $42 million, down from last year's $45 million.
I now have to go carve KURT into my arm ...

Mass school bans tag
http://www.boston.com/news/odd/articles/2006/10/18/not_it_mass_elementary_school_bans_tag/
Officials at an elementary school south of Boston have banned kids from playing tag, touch football and any other unsupervised chase game during recess for fear they'll get hurt and hold the school liable.
Come on, let the kids be kids. This is yet another sign that our society is out of control. We used to play some of the roughest soccer games at recess. It was part of the joy of being young. Scraped knees and bruises are part of it. We all have our injury stories from being a kid. The real bad news is that the schools are threatened of a law suit. Damn lawsuit happy america is ruining lives of our children. I hope all the helicopter parents are happy now!
No more tolls on the Mass Pike?
http://www.boston.com/news/globe/city_region/breaking_news/2006/10/report_recommen.html
The Massachusetts Turnpike Authority board today is considering a proposal to eliminate all tolls on the Pike west of Route 128 and most tolls east of the highway except for the Boston harbor tunnels.
They hope the loss of revenue would be offset by the layoff of more than 400 collectors and by moving administration and maintenance staff.
Since I don't use the pike anymore this really doesn't effect me, but it is interesting to see such a proposal especially after the advent of EZpass. Eliminating the tolls would have made the expenses of installing this system a huge wasted expense.

Sorry
I know there are literally thousands of you awaiting my next blog. Ok, so maybe its liek 5 people tops. And even then using 'awaiting' is loose terminology. Either way I apologize. Last week was pretty rough for me. Lots of boozing HAD to be done. I blame the alcohol industry as a whole for providing me hundreds of options to choose from. There was the classics:
as well as some new fan favorites:
Either way, I was doing things more important to me then blogging. Deal with it.
Halloween is approaching and I am still not 100% sure on my costume. Discuss.
I have one idea but i don't think i have the time or the patience to actually make it by hand and I don't think I really want to buy a costume for $50.

Congress needs to worry about important things ...
Instead they are panicking about online gambling. This bill will make it illegal for banks and credit cards to pay online gambling sites.
When did this become a big issue for Congress? Isn't Online gambling something the government would want to embrace, regulate, and tax? It seems like it would be so much easier for them to tax online gambling versus real world gambling. The revenue stream would be so automatic and many would be willing to subject themselves to it.
I really think Congress is missing a chance here and is also acting without considering the nations thoughts on this subject matter.
With that said, I will still gamble online. There will always be a way to do it and I will find that way.
