Pineapple Express

I took in Pineapple Express last night. It was pretty much what I expected. A total stoner movie that had some good laughs for the non-chemically-enhanced person (as I was). There is some sophomoric humor, site gags, subtle jokes and some thinkers (don't worry not too many of these) that are dispersed throughout the movie. The movie's plot is alarmingly simple, but I was not expecting to be kept on the edge of my seat. However I will divulge that the end of the movie does become an "action" movie of sorts. A comically done (with out being too over-the-top) action sequence with some very good humor intertwined. The ending scene was a little hokey for me and left me desiring a bit more. There is some good lines thrown into the banter but it kind of led to a sudden ending.


Overall I would say this is movie that is good, but you can wait until it is on video or on television. The R rating is only for the overabundance of pot references (images, smoking, verbally), there is no real nudity so your TV experience would not be harmed.

Breakfast for Lunch equals Awesome

Here is what they served us for lunch today.


Starting at the top and moving clockwise.
Spinach salad, asparagus, sausage, applewood bacon, spinach, mushroom, cheese quiche, Challah french toast with real maple syrup.

I love breakfast food especially at non-traditional times. This meal was so delicious I felt the need to share.

You hate going to bars on Fridays and Saturdays because those are "amature" nights.

Most days you’re up and at ‘em at five in the morning. Then you pass out.

Your golf bag contains more beer than clubs.

You’ve tried to lay down on the ceiling.

You leave big tips to bartenders so they will remember you (and not shut you off)

Sometimes you think beer needs that extra kick and you add Jack.

You think Imtoodrunktostan and twelvepackistan are actual countries.

The ATF has a You division.

You know most the of people in a bar and can’t remember one of their names.

And the final way to know you are a drunk:

You play the same song 10 times in a row with the volume of a 747 at three in the morning and you think your neighbors won’t mind because, well, because it is damn good song!

Batman: The Dark Knight

Ok, so let's just say this movie lived up to the hype.


This movie was good. It had a good story line, lively action and only a smattering of romance. It is odd to see a hollywood production that at its core is not a love story. The love angle is key to the plot and helps tell the story but does not dominate the story. The action scenes were well done but not so super quick that you lost out on the action (looking at you spiderman 3, you terribly fast movie).

I would like to go see this movie again which is saying a lot since I am not a repeat movie watcher (in the theater or on DVD, always on TNT though).

Zach Morris is ... A Lawyer!

So I just saw a tnt promo with tv's Zack Morris Apparently he is a lawyer that takes on te small guy's cases. I will be checking it out. Hopefully you all do too. Here is the official website for Rasing the Bar.
