The sox are in it to win it

The Boston Red Sox clinched a trip to the playoffs for the second year in a row. This is the first time the sox have made the post season two years in a row since 1916 when they won back to back world series. Tonights 7-3 win over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays ensured the sox of at least the Wild Card. As the wild card they would play either the Minnesota Twins or the AL West champion, whomever had the most wins.

The division is still mathmatically up for grabs. The New York Yankees had an off day today before opening up a three game series with the AL Central winners, the Minnesota Twins.
