Assault weapons ban is lifted

The federal ban on assault weapons was lifted on Monday. Thus makign several types of guns legal to sell in the USA again. Also extended ammo clips were allowed to be sold once again. Not to say that we don't have the right to bare arms, shouldn't we still be controlling these weapons? As a country we already have severe gun related problems. Now we are letting more powerful (powerful is a ambigous word in this case) guns out into the general market.
I did hear on the radio this morning an agruement about how they doubt that the availability of these weapons will now find their way into terrorist hands. I couldn't care less about the terrorists. I am sure they have no problem finding guns. I care about one thing. People. Sure maybe this makes gang violence worse. Its not as if there was no black market for high power weapons. Thats not the point. It is allowing it to be easier for these weapons to hit the street. I am sure there are some people that would have no problem buying these weapons and using them properly (Like gun nuts liek my grandfather and uncle).

I just think this is something that was showing tangible results and now we are ending it for a few people who will use the once banned weapons properly.
