So what did you do tonight?
Ya. I happened to wander around boston. slapping high fives to anyone and everyone. It was awesome.
Yes, we won the World Series. What a night for Boston. I was near the BU Med Center. So as soon as they won, we all sprayed champagne. Then we went running into fenway. We hit a crowd, they are coming back towards us, telling us they have used tear gas already. We forge on. We just go all around boston. Cars honking, people dancing, shouting.
It was awesome. Too bad, no pictures. But i did take a video camera so hopefully I can translate some of the pictures to stills for everyone. I still have the parade on friday for even more stuff.
btw - what curse?

Sox take Game 1
You know what? We want to celebrate!
Bars like this had to lower capacity in order for the city to allow them to stay open. Is that not an unfair request by the city? To limit trade? What happend to Laissez faire?
Well I guess the city is trying to keep guys like these in check.
But isn't this what these big police machines are for?
And these officers?
p.s. I apologize for the crappy quality. I used my camera phone since none of us thought to bring a camera.

World Series - Sox and Cards
The only Cardinals we fear up here in Boston are Bernie Law and his friends in the Church.

Who's your daddy?
Who wins the last 3 games? Apparently the Boston Red Sox do. 4 straight. MVP Ortiz. Damon breaks his slump big time.
So much good tongiht. I haven't commented because of the rare chance they might do it. I hoped. You have to stay negative though. That wins games. It was great game if you root for the sox.

Character counts
If there is one thing we should take from the Pats is that character counts.
I'm much happier to have Manny instead of A-Fraud this year. That just confirms that.
Did you see the gesture he made after Nixon made that great catch? A-Fraud is classless and this series shows that. I find it disgusting. Just glad he isn't on my team.

My first power tool accident
I was attempting to trim the ends of a 3" PVC pipe, so that they would be flush. The problem was, I tried to hold the pvc pipe with my hand while I did this. The 10" miter saw quickly grabbed the PVC away from me and launched it back into my hand leaving this fairly deep wound.

Scottie Pippen retires
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1895410
There is no way this guy is a hall of famer. What did he do bedsides ride Jordans coattails? Is BJ Armstrong a hall of famer too? This is baloney. He is not a hall of famer. bottom line. no room for discussion.
The Playoffs begin Today
The Sox start their ALDS series against the Anaheim Angels today at 4 pm. I am sure i will have a few things to say as the game and the series progresses.

a point I want to make on these elections
This little rant is actually bipartisan. Which is odd for me. inspired by this link which mokes the republican convention speakers
Why is this election and administration so focused on terrorism and the 9/11 incident? It was an isolated incident. You can't defeat terrorism. That is like saying I want to defeat disease. You pick a huge range for an enemy. You can defeat Osama and his al queda. You can't defeat terrorism. terrorism is an ideology, not a singular entity. You are essentially trying to hit a moving target. Futher more, stop looking around the globe.
Protect your home. Fix your home. Don't go poking your nose where you don't belong. Fix my economy. Allow me to live my life. You can be proactive with defending our country but please do not lose yoru focus.
Help is needed at home. That should be your first priority. The parties seem to want to focus on foreign affairs/terrorism. HOW ABOUT OUR NATIONS NEEDS!?!?!
Screw Iraq's economy and well being. How about mine? Why do I have to deal wiht a topsy-turvy economy? Why are we not trying to fix this?
This nations obsession with terrorism very well could be its downfall. We are going a bit too far. Just everyone step back, take a deep breath. We are still working on knee-jerk reactions from 3 years ago!

I would like to introduce you to a new word
Friendsmanship Noun.
1. A particular type of connection existing between Friends
example:
He shows poor FRIENDSMANSHIP when borrows money, but never repays the debt.
This word is great whenever a friend does something in poor taste. If a friend throws another friend 'under the bus', it is a poor showing of FRIENDSMANSHIP.
You are all welcomed for this great new word.
